â Today's Promise: âAnd my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.â Philippians 4:19
~ Koleti in New Zealand
Dear Brides,
The chapter that I read is about "they don't have it" which means, your need and my need, we don't find it anywhere else, not our EH (earthly husband) or the people of this world. As the woman shared in this chapter God showed her this principle âthey donât have it,â at the end of a very long series of frustrating and time-consuming encounters with her warehouse membership club. When she went trying to make things right about her grocery shopping with the people who work there. Instead of fighting for her right, she obeyed what the Lord showed about the principle 'they don't have it'.
On the other hand, God showed her that, what she was looking for is in the mighty hand of God. Not in the world because on this earth, the people of this world are bankrupt in every way. The people of the world (and most Christians) lack compassion, kindness, love, and everyone has limited resources, yet we foolishly keep looking to them for our needs. All the while our Lord, our Lover, and our Friend has an endless source of every resource that we need and wantâavailable to usâwhen we simply look to Him alone!!
So therefore Dear Brides, we don't need our EH (earthly husband) to fulfill what our desires are, our HH (Heavenly Husband) is longing to have compassion for us and to meet our needs. The principle of God is so true, I can see it in the way my EH is living now. Where He ask for help from me and the children. My children and I never hold on to something he asked for, we always give it to him because my HH put it my heart to love him, but not the love that I have for my Lord.
He is the only man in my life, my HH (Heavenly Husband). He is all I want, all I need and all I live for. And I never lack of anything because my HH provide and supply for me. Ever since I separated from my EH (earthly husband), I never asked for any help because I stand firm believing that my God owns everything, the maker and the creator of heaven and earth. Whatever I asked, He granted in my heart, but with my EH, nothing.
I pray what I shared about this chapter will bless your heart, and the scripture I will leave you with, I believe will encourage you to put your trust and hope in the Lord. âAnd my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesusâ (Philippines 4:19). When we tell the Lord that He is all we want and all we need, we need to back it up with our actions and reactions. When someone does us wrong, which seems to happen every day, all day, we need to search our hearts: from whom are we trying to get what we believe we âdeserveââfrom God or man? God has everything; man has nothing (only what God gives him).
Our HH (Heavenly Husband) taught me not to seek help from the World but to turn to Him because âGod can do anything, you knowâfar more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!â (Ephesians 3:20). Also, the Lord taught me in the book of Isaiah 61: 7-8, âInstead of your shame you will have a double portion, and instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion. Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land, everlasting joy will be theirs. For I, the LORD, love justiceâŚand I will faithfully give them their recompenseâ (Isaiah 61:7â8).
Again, my HF (Heavenly Father) taught me that He is all I want, He is all I need, and He is all I am living for, and If I have the Lord, I have everything. Instead of trying to get satisfaction from the source of my trouble (who âdid not have itâ) and turning to the Lord who is the ultimate Source of all we need, He flooded me with tremendous favor and a multiplied of blessings, which He promises to every one of us!
âAnd my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.â Philippians 4:19
This promise is meaningful to me because not only that I am walking according to this blessing but this scripture is also living and alive in me. The Word of God is full of God's promises and truth, which was also changing my life and healing my heart. And as I shared many times that I lack nothing because my HH is providing and supplying all my needs.
Again, the Word of God is spoken from His mouth, and what He promised, He will fulfill. He is not the son of man, that should lie. With men it is impossible but with God all things are possible. As He promised in Matthew 7:7, âAsk and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
