â Today's Promise: âMoreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.â Ezekiel 36:26
~ Sara in Turkey
Dear Brides, are you living in His grace? I want to invite you to read this amazing chapter ["By Grace"] that will set you free from the works of the law, and enjoy the abundant life He gave you!
How amazing is to surrender to Him, to accept His grace, yes accept. Even though He gives us freely we still want to pay for it by doing works. I believe that sometimes we may think that by doing works, He will answer us faster or, we will be more favored by the Lord, but that's not the way He did it.
Reading this chapter is just a confirmation of what He is speaking to me all along. "Abide in my grace" When this truth really sinks in our hearts we begin to live as the author shared: "I felt so free to simply give!"
To give more than 10% tithe, to let others know that they don't owe us anything, by forgiving when wrong was done against us, by loving those who are unlovable.
One of the things that helped me to experience more about what is to abide in His grace was finally being set free of the lie that I was believing for such a long time. You see I thought that if I didn't work I would not receive an answer to my prayers. You may think I am foolish, and I am but by His grace, I can finally see the truth. He does not need my help, my works, He wants me to trust and accept His FREE gift of grace. I believe that I can now finally enjoy the abundant Life He has for me, I can give more because He gave me a new heart, I can forgive even when the world says I am crazy.
One of the ways I want to live it, is to each day, surrender my thoughts and my heart to Him. As each morning His mercies are new, I also want to remember that I can also enjoy His gift. I can walk the next mile, give away my coat. remembering that I don't deserve anything, but even so, He has given it to us.
Dear Brides, I want to share one of the sentences that most touched my heart when reading this chapter, and I hope it will encourage you to read it as well:
"It took doing everything I could do, and then failing miserably, for me to accept what was mine all alongâHis grace."
âFor whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.â James 2:10
Praise God âTherefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.â Romans 8:1
âAnd I will give them one heart, and put a new spirit within them and I will take the heart of stone out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh.â Ezekiel 11:19
âMoreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.â Ezekiel 36:26
This verse is so important to me. I love that is the Lord who gives me a new heart, I don't need to work to have a new one, my obedience, faith a cheerful giving comes from Him. Thank you for this amazing gift, my Love.
