Trying in My Own Strength

♕ Today's Promise: "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me." 2 Corinthians 12:9

☊ PRAISE from Yvonne

Dear Brides, we are almost at the end of Moving Mountains and each chapter just gets better. Come and read this one and feel the relieve of His Grace come over you.

What a freeing revelation! In myself I can do nothing to change my circumstances, but only through His grace can everything be changed in an instant.

This lesson, ["By Grace"] is such a confirmation of what the Lord has already told me these past few weeks. That His grace is sufficient for me.

One of the things I do, is think of solutions to problems. I like solving puzzles and naturally when there is a problem, my first reaction is to dissect the problem, break it up into pieces and see how I can fix it and put it back together.

Of course, this is a talent He gave me, but through all of this, I need to remember that all I have is His Grace that He gives for no other reason then because of His love for us.

I have been trying in my own strength to solve the problem of marriage restoration, especially for my children.

It breaks my heart to see them suffer, but I had to come to a place of total exhaustion to know that my good works is like filthy rags. It means absolutely nothing. All I have is His grace! That is all I can cling to.

NOTHING I can ever do will bring about anything. Only His grace. That makes me free to just love as He has first loved me.

Dear Brides, the author ends the chapter with: "Relieved? I am" Well, I did not actually get to place of relieve until He showed me that I can try it all in my own strength and it would mean nothing. I had to get so tired of trying, that I just gave up and left it all in His hands. What a relieve to just live in His grace.

"But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me." 2 Corinthians 12:9

I have been meditating on this verse for a while now. Just knowing that His grace is sufficient for me.
