â Today's Promise: "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9
~ Liora in Texas
Dear brides, This chapter "God's Waiting Room" will give you the courage to keep on waiting for God to move. He shows us just how to enjoy the wait and look back at each situation He has brought us through and why the wait was so necessary. He longs to give you those promises because you are His Bride, but we must realize that there is just an appointed time for everything!
I use to be so impatient and wanted things to change immediately and so that would cause me to go ahead of God and mess up His plan. I can see now how the wait is necessary so that everything falls into perfect place when the time is right. I cannot look at my situation with my human eyes, I have to look at the bigger picture as to what the Lord has to do to bring everything together perfectly. All sides of the circumstance have to be ready and fit together like a puzzle so that it can be complete. There is nothing that I can do to hurry the process but instead there are things that I can do to enjoy the wait.
The wait for things has certainly shown me to have patience which is something that I lacked a lot of. Before, i would work ahead of the Lord and make things worse. I would occupy my time with things that are not pleasing to my HH (Heavenly Husband). That just brought more heartache and conviction to my heart. Instead now I've learned to rest in Him and try to be as close as humanely possible to my HH because only then will i receive the love, patience and endurance to wait on God and see His plan fulfilled in my life.
Spending more time getting to know my HH (Heavenly Husband) intimately everyday is something I try to prioritize on a daily basis. Although sometimes events or certain things get in the way, I need to find that quiet time no matter what because when I don't have it, I become weak. He renews my strength the more I lean in close to Him. Even when He is silent I can rest in Him knowing that He sees me and hears me and the wait is only to make everything complete on every side and to perfect the plan He has for my life when He says it is time.
Dear Brides, When we look back at some of the events in our lives, we can see how there was a purpose and a plan for each and every waiting period. Every situation has to be perfectly set in place and we will learn to appreciate that much more what our Beloved has done for us!
