Dear bride, because we do not know the future, it is impossible to prepare for situations. The trials we undergo are necessary. When we have gone through it, we have learned a lot from it. But often the trials in our eyes and feelings are too heavy and too painful. Which makes us try everything to end the ordeal or make it less painful. We need to just let the situation happen, no matter how difficult it is. You will see how great God is. But also how it has transformed you. And that you have come much closer to the Lord. Know that you can't help getting anything from God. Through a trial the Lord wants to show you that nothing is impossible for Him.
In this chapter ["Hopelessly in need of Him"] I am taught that I don't have to solve the situation that happens to me myself. My own righteousness and confidence in myself will not be what will save me from the trial. Also, seeking help from people will be in vain. The truth is, there's nothing I or anyone else can do about the awful situation. God's plan in the situation is so that He will get the glory and finish what He has started. I don't have to wait for the situation to get too dire or after trying multiple times to get the situation to end for me. Before I surrender it all to my Lord. I cannot and must not lean on my own flesh. But to trust Him completely. And besides, I certainly don't have to think that I missed Him or made Him angry if the situation gets worse instead of better. I can do nothing to help Him.
I no longer have to be afraid of making mistakes. I don't have to be afraid of going through an ordeal anymore. I don't have to worry anymore when I have a spiritual battle to fight. I can surrender all situations to my Lord in the smallest details. I cannot resolve the situation myself. I am so happy with this lesson. Because before I always tried to find solutions to improve or even solve the situation. Until I saw and got tired of the disappointing result. Fortunately, I no longer have to use the energy to solve something. But to give it to my Lord and wait until He resolves it for me or guides me in what to do.
Right now my oldest son needs guidance to do his schoolwork. I cannot give him this guidance. It's my heart. But I can't and don't know how to fix this now. But as I've read in this lesson, I shouldn't rely on my own mind either, but to give it to Him and trust that it will work out. I therefore also give guidance for my son's schoolwork to my Beloved.
Any situation that I don't know what to do about myself I will give to Him. So that I can sit in His arms in peace and tranquility. The trials are for the purpose of showing me and those around me how great and wonderful my Lord is. My testimonies of all that He does and has done in my life will be great. All glory and honor to Him.
Dear brides, it is vain of us to try to avoid trials or even try to solve them. With these trials our Lord wants to show his glory. And besides, we don't have to wait until we don't know what to do anymore. Our justice and our own insights cannot be trusted. We must put our trust in God. The most severe trials will show His glory. And the worse the situation, the more people it will draw to bear witness to all that God has done.
"For I know what thoughts I have upon you, thoughts of peace and not of calamity, to give you a hopeful future." Jeremiah 29:11
-I can trust that in everything He has the best intentions for me. In everything He will reach the goal that I become happy.

-I never have to be afraid to make a mistake or behave differently from how I feel at the moment. He won't love me any less.
