â Today's Promise: âJesus answered them, Truly I say to you, if you have faith (a firm relying trust) and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, be taken up and cast into the sea, it will be done. And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and [really] believing, you will receiveâ Matthew 21:21â22

Dear Brides, He is a God of mercy. Mercy, which means He chooses âcompassion and forgiveness shown toward us, even though it is within His power to punish or harm usâ the very definition of mercy.
I learned in this chapter ["Owe No Man"] that I sometimes hold onto guilt and shame of my sin. Even if I know that I am forgiven I have struggled with forgiving myself. It is hard when there is such proof of my sin still present as evidence. Reminding me and for the world to see.
I see the debt as the punishment of my careless spending and disobedience to my EH (earthly husband) and My HH (Heavenly Husband). I have felt shame and guilt and that the OW (other woman) is walking proof of my mistakes and sin that I made in my marriage and my life and is there for all the world to see. I feel the shame of what I have done to my body. The unhealthy relationship I had with food. The sin of idolatry and gluttony. My extra weight and visible damage on my body is evidence of this sin. The enemy uses this against me often.
But as it says in this chapter, He has paid my debt. All of it, not some of it. When we heal of this then our mountains will be moved in His appointed time. He can and will do it. We must keep all our trust in Him without any doubt. He does not want us to keep living in shame and burdened with these things. It is not in His Way to hold things over our heads reminding us of what we did in the past. That is not our Loving, Merciful Husband. That is the enemyâs way. But we have a Kind and Merciful God Who loves us.
Dear Brides, this chapter just showed me a way how I can Love My Heavenly Husband even more. We can be more intimate with Him when these mountains are moved and they canât be moved if we hold onto them and let the shame of our past haunt us. We must remember that He paid our debt. He washes us clean with His blood that He chose to spill for us. He loves us that much, Dear Brides. When we belong to Him, all that sin and shame is washed away. We can rest in arms and be free to love Him with our WHOLE HEARTS!!
âJesus answered them, Truly I say to you, if you have faith (a firm relying trust) and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, be taken up and cast into the sea, it will be done. And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and [really] believing, you will receiveâ Matthew 21:21â22
This reminds me that there is nothing He canât do for me. All I have to do is have a firm trust in Him and do not doubt. Wait for His perfect timing and He will do it.
