How He Sees Us

Today I want to share something that my Husband revealed to me over this past weekend. I mentioned in my previous podcast "How Do I Cope?" that I ask my Husband to reveal to me anything that I must know regarding my children. And He showed me something very concerning and something we, or our daughters or even our sons, struggle with or have struggled with, and that is how we see ourselves and body shaming.

If this is something you or anybody you knows struggle with, please read the following lesson from Living the Abundant Life, "You're Beautiful!!": https://loveatlast.org/fc/living-the-abundant-life/chapter-14-youre-beautiful/

And then I would also like to share a praise I read on Homegrownministries.com: https://homegrownministries.com/i-cried-out-to-my-husband-for-our-daughter/

“For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.”

  1. Chapter 14 “You’re Beautiful!!” It is magnificent for any woman, I think that all of us at some point in our lives were hurt by some comment regarding our physique, however my Beloved shows us how unique we are in his eyes, thank you Adina for this podcast ❤️

    1. Perla it is devastating to hear negative things about the way we look, our bodies or even our personalities. And the saddest thing is that we start to believe it and then we look at ourselves through that lens. I really struggled with this because the OW is a 12yr younger version of myself, so it really didn’t make it easier for me. But since I became His bride, I give all the comments to Him and ask Him if its true and to show me how He sees me, and it changed the way I see myself and I know He loves everything about me, and what is more important than knowing that? And He gave me peace about getting older, every new wrinkle and the weight I gained when I got to the wonderful age of 45! I am turning 50 this year and all I can do is praise Him for excellent health, the ability to still train every day, every stretchmark or scar from bearing two wonderful children and every wrinkle that shows I lived a wonderful life despite everything that happened!

      1. Our Husband is the best, we just have to look for him and ask him before filling ourselves with wrong ideas, he always has the right answers

      2. Wow, Adina, what a powerful and encouraging testimony! Really we all go through that terrible stage of comparing ourselves and especially with the OM, but in the end that so ugly results in a blessing when He tells us how He sees us, the power that His words have to heal us from any bad word, look or

        1. Thank you Anastasia, it was a journey, but thankfully HH, as our Mighty Counsellor AND Great Physician heals us from this, we must just give it to Him.

  2. Thank you for this pod case Adina! Im going to SG daily now for His guidance in this area and to be filled with joy.

  3. Thank you Adina this is sooooo needed!! I’m just glad that your daughter shared this with you so you could share the truth with her 🙏 what you shared is so true. I always try to remember that His word says that He knit and formed me in my mother’s womb and that I’m perfectly made because l am bow-legged.

So now it doesn’t worry me because l know HE made each of us differently and perfectly with our different personalities and body structures. I told my daughter that we are perfect because God made us so different to any other person, no other person is like her 😊

God is so magnificent in how He created each and every one of us and l praise Him for that!!

    1. Definitely Atarah, like the lesson says, to Him we are all endangered because there is only one of us! And this is such a pandemic in today’s world with social media and standards set for beauty, and we and our daughters (and men and our sons) suffer because of this, often with devastating consequences. We are all unique and beautiful in His eyes and He loves us dearly, just the way we are! And His standard of beauty is much more important than the world’s!

  4. I understand what they share, when I arrived at the Ministry I had in my mind that I was such a thin woman that I couldn’t wear a dress because I looked bad, I heard this all my life, maybe I didn’t meet people’s expectations, but it limited me all my youth to use, but when I discovered what my Celestial Husband thinks of me and how He sees me, now I can wear dresses without complexes, it is impressive how it heals us from so many wounds❤️

  5. Thank you for sharing Adina, I am for sure going to read the chapter because I too struggle with how I see myself and how I feel about my over weight.

  6. Thanks for this insights Adina, I totally agree that many are the times we suffer from what others say or talk about how we look and try to change in so many ways but how wrong we have done it, our HH sees us in a different way we think. He has created us so beautiful and wonderful and he loves us the way he created us.

  7. Thanks Adina, most of us women spend part of our time listening to bad things about ourselves that stay in our mind forever, causing so many insecurities that affect our live in different areas. So happy that your Husband led you to share all this wisdom with your daughter about how He loves us as we are and how perfect we are for His eyes.
