Help Our Unbelief

♕ Today's Promise: “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!” Mark 9:23-24

Dear Brides, do you want to know how to move from fear to faith? Come and read this chapter ["Have Faith"] that is again filled with His word.

Just being reminded again to wait upon Him and faith was good to hear. I also needed to be reminded not to make hasty decisions. That I need to wait upon Him and not try to do things in my own strength.

Recently I had to tell Ian that we cannot be friends anymore. He cannot call me except if it has anything to do with our children. This was a difficult thing for me to do and of course I feared that doing this will cause that I will not be restored instead of having the faith to know that my Husband knew exactly what was going to happen. Not once did I catch Him by surprise.

“To sum up, let all be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil, or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing.” 1 Peter. 3:8

I guess Peter sums it up here. With His help I need to be kindhearted, humble in spirit, not returning evil for evil.

It may not have been intentional, but I was returning evil for evil.

Dear Brides, faith is not an easy thing, if it was, the Lord would not have said you can move mountains with the faith of a mustard seed. Faith is actually something that is very prominent in the gospels and something that I believe we can ask Him for. I always take courage in the fact this verse when I feel I have lost all my faith:

“What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!” Mark 9:23-24

It is so encouraging to see that we can ask Him to help our unbelief.

“Wait calmly for God alone, my soul, because my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my savior—my stronghold. I cannot be shaken. My salvation and my glory depend on God. God is the rock of my strength, my refuge. Trust him at all times, you people. Pour out your hearts in his presence. God is our refuge. Selah” Psalms 62:5-8

This morning I was reminded of this beautiful verse that we need to wait upon Him.
