â Today's Promise: âFor whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it." Luke 9:24
~ Lajuana in Georgia
Dear Brides, if you closed your eyes and sat back, freed your mind to let it be free from all worries, responsibilities and needs for a moment. Imagine what life would be like if you only heard the sounds that spoke peace and comfort to your heart.
You only felt the breeze or warmth or whatever it is that makes you smile with satisfied glee and contentment. If the arms around you made you feel secure at all times and were always present for you to lay back in. If the words you heard from your Love were always there, never hiding, but constant. And whatever more comes up for you as you enjoy these treasured moments.
Could this be the reality our Heavenly Father actually created us to live in? Is it possible that the carnal standards of our culture and our attempts to self satisfy and attain through various means actually separates us from the means Heâs given us to fall in step with the beauty of freely attained bliss? Just to say that word, bliss, may seem like a cruel fairy tale, definitely not something we would actually expect to have.
But are the Lordâs words not true? Life and have it more abundantly, is what He said. Dare we try Him at His word? Dare we believe- as He said in the book of John, âDid I not tell you, that if you would just believe that you would see the glory of God?â John 11:40. Havenât we tried and continue to try other things that never seem to completely satisfy? Letâs try our Maker at His word my friends. "Whoever loses his life for my sake, will find it" Luke 9:24.
What will help me is taking the time to let Him in, go to Him with my pains and all my struggles. Drawing closer to God every moment.
âFor whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it." Luke 9:24
"But you donât believe me because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Fatherâs hand. The Father and I are one.â John 10
