What He led me to talk about today is forgiveness, so in the first Episode of Becoming His Bride E1, I want to give you a little background on my journey to get to a place of truly forgiving and giving blessings instead.
I learned a lot about forgiveness in the WW "Gentle and Quiet Spirit" Chapter. On our recent WW retreat I had to talk about this chapter and when I ask my Husband what I should share, He stopped me at the Forgiveness heading and I knew that was what I was supposed to talk about, and I think forgiveness and bitterness are something a lot of us struggle with on our journeys at some point or another.

Thank you Adina, for sharing this topic, for several days this chapter comes to my mind. I did not know why. Your sharing this now is confirmation that I need to start reading and meditating on this chapter. Let me confess something. Yesterday I told my HH that I would like to talk in a different way but because of sadness and fatigue about how certain things are going, I am more unable than I am. Thank you again.
Thank you for sharing Kristine, after I studied this lesson, I realized that we cannot have a gentle and quiet spirit, love the unlovable, treat others in an understanding way or follow the principles if we carry unforgiveness and bitterness in our hearts. Looking back at who I became due to unforgiveness just made me realize more how important forgiving is, not for the other person, but for us to heal and to get set free from the prison of pain we are in, and how can we draw closer to Him and be free to love if we carry all the bitterness inside….
Thanks for sharing Adina everything that you learned about forgiveness is what l learned… we forgive 77 x 7 times and that is a LOT of forgiving… so every time we have those flashbacks we need to immediately forgive. Tx for sharing heart so openly about this.
Yes Atarah forgiveness is probably the hardest thing to do, but to lift the burden of bitterness that we carry with us, forgiveness is the only thing that will set us free….and forgiving 77X7 times for the same thing.
This is a harsh topic, because our flesh gets in the middle. In my case my pride!! Praise the Lord He is healing us from the inside out!!
It is not easy, but we need to forgive as you said, all that happen in our past!!
I really love this resource to get healed!!

Thank you Isabella for reminding me about pride! đđ» My “pride” also stood in the way of forgiving, like you would fail somehow if you forgive. But pride is a awful sin!
“Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.”
Proverbs 16:18 NIV
Thank you for sharing the “He Healed Me” link, I would highly recommend it if you need healing đ
Great lesson Adina, forgiveness is a must so that we can heal and be able to love the people around us. This topic of course like always came at the perfect time for me to read. Sometimes we are not able to forgive because we have pride creeping up but thank goodness that He has amazing Brides like yourself who help and minister to us about His word and help us to refocus on Him đ Thank you Adina âșïž
Yes without forgiveness, we cannot heal and instead bitterness grows and the consequences of not forgiving is great. I will never forget the story Erin shared in the BeE videos about the lady who had cancer but couldn’t forgive, and after her eh asked forgiveness, she still couldn’t forgive and then the cancer spread rapidly. I even heard that forgiveness is now part of cancer treatment.
Unforgiveness is a heavy load of that we try to carry alone and keeps us from moving forward on our journey with Him.
