Be Set Free

♕ Today's Promise: "Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back." Luke 6:38

Dear Brides, "Giving Frenzy" is an eye-opening chapter that will take us to the real meaning of not only giving but also receiving!

This chapter is incredible, I loved what the author shared regarding receiving because I do feel very uncomfortable about it.

"The majority of Christians are only comfortable with giving, and I was no exception. Yet the Bible tells us many times, specifically and theoretically, that we need to be able to do both, to be well-balanced, smack dab in the center of the narrow road, such as we see in the life of the apostle, Paul."

Exactly it, we should be balanced, I don't think that I could express myself better, it was like everything that I want to say was right there in this chapter.

I never realized I was leaving in bondage. Hopefully, now I will be set free. I love to give, but I don't like to receive, and when asking Him about it, is that my whole life I felt that people gave me things because they wanted something in return, or after a while, they begin throwing in my face what they have given me. Not sure I am explaining it correctly, but that feeling and position made me cringe every time someone wanted to give me something.

I know that He blesses me through others, and it's been a long journey from where I was to where I am today, but it is still hard for me.

After reading it, I believe He opened my eyes to not concern myself with what people will say or ask me in return but to trust Him and accept His gift, just as I love to give others without expecting anything in return. That's the way I want to live, free of these thoughts.

Dear Brides, I learned that we should live well-balanced in the narrow road, and how to give but also to receive, we need to learn how to live in abundance but also in humble ways. Knowing that whatever the situation, it is all for Him and about Him, the Lover of our souls.

"Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back." Luke 6:38

It was the first time that I focused on the part "you will receive" I find it very difficult to receive things from others, but here is what He says, it is coming from Him, so I need to have my heart ready to receive.
