â Today's Promise: âFor the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarryâwait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarryâ Habakkuk 2:3
~ Ruby in California
Dear Brides, this chapter, "Tarry", could not have come at a better time for me. I am in waiting. Waiting for what? Sometimes I donât even know.
This is something new and important I learned from the chapter that I didnât understand beforeâŠâŠ..that God being a God of justice means that eventually (in the end) everyone gets what they deserve, good and bad. And that means that no matter what, it is always worth doing the right thing, no matter what the cost is now. Not only that, but when it seems that other people (especially your enemies) are getting blessed, and youâre not, you can count on receiving, in the end, double. You need to wait with the expectation that something tremendously special will happen, especially if you have the right attitude when something happens thatâs unjust, because the right attitude is a reflection of the right heart.
I am glad that I now know this knowledge and can explain it to our children and others. Itâs has been hard to give a response when things seem unfair and yet, being His bride, choose to be agreeable. This encourages me to have a better attitude especially when it seems that others are getting blessed and we are not. A lot of times Brides, it will look like EH (earthly husband) and the OW (other woman) are prospering and being blessed while we are struggling or even suffering. But what the writer wrote here teaches us what having a HH (Heavenly Husband) that is a God of justice really means.
God truly has plans to bless me beyond anything I could ever hope, dream or imagine!
âFor from days of old they have not heard or perceived by ear, nor has the eye seen a God besides You, Who acts in behalf of the one who waits for Himâ Isaiah 64:4
Dear Brides, itâs important that we wait, no matter how long we wait.
Eventually the heavens will open up over our lives and shower us with blessings that cannot compare to the suffering or difficulty that we went through. And all those difficulties we encountered along our journey will be a distant and foggy memory, if our heart has been kept right.
I truly believe, in faith, all the injustices that have come against me personally and come against my children, I have the security in knowing we will receive double what was lost or stolen from meâeach and every injustice doubled.
âBut you will be called the priests of the LORD; You will be spoken of as ministers of our God. You will eat the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast. Instead of your shame you will have a double portion, and instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion. Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land, everlasting joy will be theirs. For I, the LORD, love justice, I hate robbery in the burnt offering; and I will faithfully give them their recompense and make an everlasting covenant with themâ Isaiah 61:6â8
I am reminded that I suffer loss of all things so that I will gain more of Christ Jesus in my heart and in my life and He is so worth it!!
âMore than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His deathâ Philippians 3:8â10 Amen!
âLet us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow wearyâ Galatians 6:9
I have been growing weary in my waiting. This reminds me that if I donât give up and I seek to be closer to My HH (Heavenly Husband) everyday that soon either my mountain will be moved or we will start our climb together and we will reap the blessings.
âFor the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarryâwait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarryâ Habakkuk 2:3
Our blessings are already set before us but they will appear in the appointed time.
âYet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become wearyâ Isaiah 40:31.
I will gain new strength and Iâm so thankful that through this He is growing my faith and refining me into the woman He meant for me to be.
