Today's devotional is a beautiful reminder that our Heavenly Husband alone can give us what we really need.
We need our Heavenly Husband's living water to satisfy us on our journeys through the dry and weary land where there is no water. We need to earnestly seek Him daily to receive the living water He promises to give us. We need to seek Him in His word and in spending time with Him in our prayer closets.
Nothing and nobody else will satisfy us. He alone can fill the void we have and quench our thirst.
"but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” (J4:14)
"They will not hunger or thirst, nor will the scorching heat or sun strike them down; for He who has compassion on them will lead them, and He will guide them to springs of water." (I49:10)
