Even now, as I think of those lyrics, I am overwhelmed with emotion and trying to keep it together because I know my husband’s heart and how much He is longing for you to trust your heart with Him. I know full well that we are conditioned and trained to give our heart to men who may be handsome or kind or generous – – but oftentimes only at first. They are, in fact, flawed and far from having the capacity to meet all of our needs. Especially our need for unconditional, everlasting love. No man on earth is capable of doing that, and each time we try to make that happen, we end up with a broken heart
Why, then, do you hesitate to give your heart to the one who literally has the lyrics say…

OK, now I’m weeping

Your Savior did far more than this! In order to feel his love and to be able to implant himself inside your heart, he lay down his life for you. Has any man ever come close? It’s silly when you think about it. How could you possibly compare?
So, as we approach this holiday season, I want to give you this song as my gift and ask you to put it under your Christmas tree. Most people tell you not to open your gift or peak but to wait. But I believe you’ve waited for too long. It’s time you open this gift that’s really from Him, from both of us.

Dear potential bride, I’ve been his and his long for many, many decades, and never once have I ever felt I needed more than he was able and more than willing to bless and pamper me with. I desperately want you to experience the same thing.
