â Today's Promise: âLet us hold on to the hope we say we have and not be changed. We can trust God that He will do what He promised." Hebrews 10:23
~ Liora in Texas
Dear Brides, Sometimes it takes time and tears in our prayer closet to come out with the peace and certainty that we can trust the Lord and that somehow, He works everything out for good. That is why it is so important to have an intimate relationship with the Lord so you can feel Him speaking to you, reassuring you and guiding you when He tells you to wait, believe, imagine or hide it in your heart.
There are so many of us who never make it past the level of hoping for something, or maybe we only allow ourselves to imagine for just a moment that something we long for will happen. This is due to an inability to comprehend the true nature of God. We can trust Him if what we desire was promised by Him.
I never really knew the true nature of God. I knew that He loved us but what I understood was that it was more of a strict, punishing love and that we were never worthy of anything. And really none of us are worthy because we fall so short BUT if we walk in that humility knowing that even if we are unworthy, because of His grace and mercy, He has granted us salvation and an abundant life in this world. This is how we should see Him, yes God disciplines His children because He loves us but He is loving and caring and compassionate. He is just waiting for the moment to bless us but He also needs us to have that faith and trust in Him.
I have learned that when the Lord is asking me to believe for something I need to not worry about what I can't do (He's in charge of that) and instead do what I can do and what He's asking me to do, following His lead. Many times things are to be left hidden in our heart to ponder, trust and believe.
Dear Brides, Some of the promises the Lord gives us are meant to be hidden in our heart to ponder and trust the Lord with. We must hold on to the hope we say we have and not allow anything to change or doubt it, because then we find ourselves robbed of so much more than we could have imagined.
âLet us hold on to the hope we say we have and not be changed. We can trust God that He will do what He promised." Hebrews 10:23
âBehold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?â Jeremiah 32:27 And I answered Him, âAh Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for Youâ! Jeremiah 32:17
