What might feel like forever for us, waiting and waiting for our Beloved to change a situation, open the Red Sea for us or to see the fulfilment of a promise we've been waiting for, will happen suddenly. At the Lord's appointed time, it will happen suddenly, for His glory. For us it might feel like forever, and we might get weary along the way, but there is a purpose in the waiting, to prepare us and for our Beloved to work circumstances together before He suddenly steps in and changes everything for His glory.
Please read this morning's My Beloved Devotional:
âAnd behold, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared, and a light shone in the cell; and he struck Peterâs side and roused him, saying, âGet up quickly.â And his chains fell off his handsâ (Acts 12:7).

Thank you for sharing dear Adina, yes sometimes it does feel like forever and when I look back it was always suddenly if I let go of it but if I held on to something, the wait felt longer.
Thank you for sharing Janine, yes if we are able to let go and surrender, the wait doesn’t seem so long, and then suddenly things start to happen!
Love this message! I still remember you (Adina) said we are always in the season of waiting. Isn’t that so true? Knowing that waiting is part of the plan just like “you will have tribulations”, it’s an assurance that I am still on the right track and the Lord still has all the control. “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; and his love endures forever.” (Psalm 136:1)
Yes my dear Gioia, there is a purpose in the waiting, and we can go through the waiting season full of peace and joy, knowing if we hold on to Him, He will take us through the season and reveal His plan at the appointed time. We just need to be still and know that He is God.
