â Today's Promise: âBut I say, do not resist an evil person! If someone slaps you on the right cheek, offer the other cheek also.â ââMatthew⏠â5:39⏠â

Dear Brides,
This chapter, ["Give it Away"] will renew your mind on the importance of giving! We have grown so accustomed to demanding that we get something without having to give anything. Our Husband asks us to give generously because all that we need comes from Him. He gives to us generously and this our example of how we should treat people.
This chapter reminded me of how important it is to give. Our society has become very selfish and demands that we be given everything. But once again my Husband shows me that this isnât His way of doing things. He wants us to be like Him. We need to give away what we get from Him. We have all that we need because of our relationship with Him. But there are so many people on earth suffering because they donât have a relationship with Him. People need to see us giving so that can draw their attention thus leading them to seek or want a relationship with our Husband as well.
Lately Iâve been struggling with taking care of things at home. My daughters and I have been sick. I havenât got to spend alone time like I usually do with my Husband. It has at times sucked the patience from me and I havenât been as gentle and quiet in spirit with my daughters. I need to remember that Iâm lacking strength right now but if I can give what I have now then my Husband will be faithful to give me more.
I can definitely focus on giving more of my energy to my daughters at home I can also give my energy to my students at school. I can focus on giving to others and what kind of positive impact I can have on them versus complaining about how I donât have time to do anything for myself. I need to shift the focus off of myself and focus on helping others.
Dear Brides,
I learned in this chapter, how important it is to give. We need to give whatever is being asked of us and then more. We donât need to hang onto anything. Our Husband will make sure we have all that we need. Thereâs no reason to be selfish anymore. Our Husband wants us to show others what His love is all about. Letâs give to others what they need and truly be a reflection of how the Lordâs Bride should be.
âBut I say, do not resist an evil person! If someone slaps you on the right cheek, offer the other cheek also.â ââMatthew⏠â5:39⏠â
This scripture is meaningful to me because I feel so many times if we have something unfair done to us, we decide we donât need to give or do anything. Almost like weâre free to treat others however instead of using it as a time to give. When opposition comes our way, all we need to do is give and rest knowing our Husband will take care of the rest.
