Second Time I Am Seeing Snow ⛄❄

This is a very simple praise, but staying in South Africa with basically 3 cold months per year in winter, and loads of sunshine every day, even in winter, I have only experienced snow once in my lifetime. A normal winter's day where I stay will start out with temperatures around 0-4 degrees Celsius, going up to around 20 degrees Celsius around midday, and blue skies. When it snows on the mountains, we normally just get a cold front with some rain, then the nighttime temperatures might go into negative numbers and daytime temperatures around 12 degrees Celsius.

But last night our temperatures dropped to around -6 degrees Celsius with a possibility of snow, but I didn't take it seriously because to me it normally means snow on the Drakensberg mountains, resulting in a cold front where I stay.

When I woke up this morning the sky was blue and the sun was shining, it was freezing cold but there was no snow. Then I started to receive messages from family asking me about the snow because they saw its snowing where I stay, they even sent me pictures, but there was nothing around my area. They told me its just outside the town, so me and the children got in the car and drove out, just to end up in snow!! So we found a spot with a lot of snow where I stopped and we got out so the children could feel and experience the snow, it was the first time they saw snow ever, so they ran around throwing each other with snow.

Snow is not something I ever asked my Husband for, I prefer sunshine and heat 😊 but I think He wanted to spoil the children because just last week the children said that they would love to see snow in real life, not just in photos or movies. They also said that they would love to experience a white Christmas, since we have Christmas in summer, so let's see what their Heavenly Father will do for them. And He gave them the desires of their hearts, even my niece was able to bring her two boys to have a look at the snow ⛄❄

  1. Ohhh Adina as a South African l completely understand because it hardly never snows here.. only on the mountains and certain areas… I’m surprised to see posts of snow in areas it does not normally snow.

I have always stayed on the coast in South Africa so never never seen snow but it’s a desire of my heart ❤️ I’m sure my HH will Show me 1 day ❄️❄️❄️

  2. Wow Adina thank you for sharing, it is not snowing where I live but I did see some photos and it looked so beautiful. How wonderfully everything was created by the Lord.

    1. Yes Janine, I think you only got the cold from this side. Although it is very cold, I can still appreciate the works of His hands and the beauty of His creation. Seeing the landscape (that you see everyday) transformed into a winter wonderland, is just a reminder of how our Beloved is in control of everything.

  3. I don’t know why but it amazes me to think that there are people that have never seen snow. I guess because it is so common in the winter here. I love the sunshine and warm weather the most but in December I love the snow just for a couple of weeks. lol. I’m glad He blessed your children and they were able to experience it Adina and Atarah I hope you get to one day too! 🙂

    1. It was actually so funny to drive out to see and feel snow, everybody with children had the same idea, there where parents and children everywhere playing in the snow, taking pictures and recording videos :):). Our Christmas celebrations consists of swimming and having barbeques outside because it’s HOT. I would also love to experience a white Christmas someday, so I will give it to my Husband. \o/\o/

  4. Oh how I remember my excitement when my younger children saw snow ❄️ for the first time in Pensacola Florida—as odd and amazing a snowing in SA! They ran outside and danced and even tried to make a ⛄️ snowman using oven mitts 😂 Years later they got their fill of snow ❄️ when we moved to our farm in Missouri and remember the morning I woke them up before dawn when I saw 8 inches had fallen while we slept and the pure white blanketed everything—oh our Maker is beyond imagination.
Yvonne told me how cold 🥶 it was and you’d sent pictures of the snow ❄️ I’m still amazed. Stay warm 🤗🤗🤗 my hug to you and your babies 💗💗

    1. Yesterday afternoon the snow was already melted in the area the children and I went to. This morning the sun was shining with clear blue skies. Although it is still cold, it’s already a bit warmer than yesterday. It was amazing to see all the children playing in the snow next to the road and anywhere that they could find a spot to stop to experience it.
