Dear Brides,
I encourage you to read this chapter ["Opposition"], because life is full of unpleasant moments in which we can behave differently, but we will be blessed just when we respond in agreement and with joy.
I have learned that not responding to resistance is the right way to go. Of course, it is very difficult to stay calm and happy in such a tense moment. My body wants something completely different and I am not able to do this on my own. Only when it is filled with Him and His Word can I face resistance with a joyful heart. It is a path, and it means completely surrendering to Him.
I understand that not only our exterior should match, but also our interior, our heart. When I focus too much on the moment, I start to put emotions into it. Like when EH (earthly husband) told me he had filed for divorce, I had a smile on my face and my mouth said "okay", but I was sweating and my inside was screaming. However, when I look only at my Beloved and focus on Him, everything seems worthless and unimportant.
I will pray for this and ask my HH (Heavenly Husband) to remove every pride that comes to my heart, because it is largely causing my misconduct. "Do nothing out of animosity, not even for vain glory; but in humility make one another higher." Philippians 2: 3
Dear Brides, sometimes it seems impossible to go beyond what others demand of us. The only way to do this is to want to please our Heavenly Husband and desire only Him. Let us seek His will and His face every day, His righteousness. I believe that He is the one who will help us to overcome this obstacle as well, and we will be happy to face the resistance.

It is a strong message and principle for our lives, and it is wonderful that it is later written "..to be sons (daughters) of your Father." And we are them!
