Dear Brides,
The opening of the chapter speaks to Michelle's experience with her FH (former husband) and his reaction to her asking for some things. This was perfect timing and a reminder for me that "THEY DO NOT HAVE IT." Only going to the LORD for every need. This was a timely reminder when I was going to my manager asking for extra shifts. I lost my patience and was frustrated and was filled with fear about the future. They (she) does not have it! I remembered this and went to the LORD and was also reminded of my need to ask my manager for forgiveness for asking this way.

"Do you see what happened? As soon as I stopped trying to get satisfaction from the source of my trouble (who “did not have it”) and turned to the Lord who is the ultimate Source of all we need, He flooded me with tremendous favour and a multiplied recompense, which He promises to every one of us!"

This is an AMAZING revelation! When we look to our source, He gives abundantly more than we can possibly think or imagine!! They do not have it, the LORD ONLY does!! What an incredible principle/ promise to remember!

The more I spend time in these lessons reading them and rereading them I see and find out more treasures in each chapter!! Only He the lover of my soul has it!

(He said that the people of this world are bankrupt in every way. Think about it. The people of the world (and most Christians) lack compassion, kindness, love, and everyone has limited resources, yet we foolishly keep looking to them for our needs. All the while our Lord, our Lover, and our Friend has an endless source of every resource that we need and want—available to us—when we simply look to Him alone!!) AMEN!!

Others are bankrupt. and I truly went to my FH (former husband) so many times seeking him to fill all the EMPTY painful unhealed places in me and when he did not I would react, or become angry because I thought in my distorted view of marriage that this was his job to fill. How unfair and how I was missing out for so long. Yet, He removed lover and friend so that I would return back to Him, when we finally settle in and find that all the distractions and false idols. WOW, what a revelation, ONCE WE FIND THE ABUNDANT LIFE.

As I shared above. Most recently I went to my manager and asked for more work, shifts and was feeling a lot of uncertainty and fear due to the "unknown," of my financial situation and my work situation. I expressed even this fear to her instead of going to the SOURCE!! I do not need to live in fear as He promised that He has good plans for my life, plans to prosper me and to give me a hope and a future. He also promises to meet all of my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19! Praise God that He knows my needs and my financial needs and it is just another area where I get to see how the LORD is going to show out.

I will put the LORD in His rightful place, just like Abram did not want anything or anyone to take away the glory of the LORD if I put this into perspective. I give the LORD glory for EVERYTHING!!

Just recently the LORD led me "home," to where I grew up but I avoided due to many reasons but for painful reasons. The town was filled with broken memories, my mothers divorce, painful friendships and me just surviving unto I finally escaped with a boyfriend. Once I got married he (we) decided I would only return every other year. Since my divorce and seeking to restore and heal ALL my relationships and especially with my mother, to respect and honour and love her was exactly what the LORD has wanted to do and He BLESSED me exceedingly abundantly more than I could imagine!! I wish I could show you pictures.

My divorce went through 2 months ago and my children and I were filled with so much JOY!!! Joy, sober joy, as I am 2.5 years sober, delivered and free from all addiction!! My sisters heart has softened and my mother said I had a gentle and quiet spirit. I never shared that promise with her! The LORD provided extra money to bless my children and a amazing hotel at the end of a camping trip!! ALL HIM when I stopped looking to others and gave Him all PRAISE AND ALL THE GLORY!!

God gave me a double recompense!

Dear brides, do not be afraid to put the LORD in His rightful place and see how He shows up, how He out loves you, it is an amazing ABUNDANT life once we know "they do not have it," but only He does!!

"Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours. For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing. In my faithfulness I will reward my people and make an everlasting covenant with them." Isaiah 61:7–8

I WILL - THE LORD WILL.

"I have made Abram rich” (Genesis 14:22–23). Abram (who later becomes Abraham) did not want to take away any of God’s glory by letting the king take the credit for any of Abram’s future wealth, which, as we know, increased greatly later in Abram’s life—that was secured due to his conviction to give God the glory.

Giving ALL glory to the LORD for extra work, and a pay wage increase and NOT my manager is what I forgot by going to her with my fear and frustration about future security and work. I MUST go to Him so that He gets all the glory.
