More on Waiting

As I read this morning's My Beloved devotional, I realized the author shared another aspect about the Waiting Season many might be in right now. Waiting on His promises or just waiting for His guidance in certain situations, or maybe waiting on Him for guidance just became a way of life (doing nothing without Him guiding us).

April 4

“My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from Him” (P625).

Beloved, here is one of the most wonderful and awesome principles: to wait in silence for God only. Oh, how we love to tell, and talk about, and write about our troubles, our thoughts, and our fears. Oh, to be silent and allow God to change us and mold us through the silence! And in the silence, in the quiet, you hear Him because you’ve proven to Him and others that your hope is coming from Him. This is why you are able to wait in silence and in peace, because in Him alone can you trust.

As I shared in my Chapter 5 “It’s SO Worth the Wait” podcast (Finding the Abundant Life – Chapter 5 🎤📖 – LoveAtLast.org) last week about waiting, there is a purpose in waiting and one of the purposes is to prepare and change us to be spiritually and emotionally ready to receive our promise.

Today's devotional adds another aspect to waiting, and that is to wait in silence, only talking to Him and to be quiet to be able hear Him. Not to talk to others, not seeking help from anybody else, because our hope is from Him, not anybody else.

He then led me to look at yesterday's devotional, and the rest of the week's devotionals, and it's all about waiting, here are some principles I've seen from this week's devotionals, please read them each morning and let Him speak to you about each one of them:

3 April: "Wait for the Lord, and keep His way"

4 April: “My soul, wait in silence for God only"

5 April: "my soul does wait, and in His Word do I hope

6 April: “For Your salvation I wait, O Lord”

7 April: “Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him"

8 April: "do not fret"

9 April: "do not fret, it leads only to evildoing"

10 April: " those who wait for the Lord, they will inherit the land

  1. Dear Adina thanking you for sharing, I have seen it was a lot in my waiting period that my HH said I must become quiet. And God will always come through for us.

  2. Hey ok.. thats interesting adina that the devotions for this week is all about waiting.. I remember at the start of my RJ I spoke to soooo many people about my situation and what was happening… then after I started learning about what Gods word was saying about marriage restoration I was even sharing that… and still not getting good advice because it was still sharing too much details about my situation… the biggest change came when He became my HH and I started sharing everything with Him waiting for HIM and trusting His good plans… suddenly my life becomes so peaceful and I see how my Beloved starts moving in my life because I let go and gave it all to HIM and just being quiet and waiting on Him 🙂 Waiting is doing nothing and sometimes it requires us to say I’m not going to do anything because I’m trusting HIM to do it as I wait.

    1. Yes I also shared too much, trying to get advice, but it didn’t do any good. Now I just wait silently, not talking to anybody but Him, asking only His advice. It was hard in the beginning to not talk to anybody, but as we grow in our relationship with Him, it becomes easier and easier.

  3. Adina, I saw the same thing this morning when I read the My Beloved and looked at yesterday. So I copied and pasted them into my virtual 3×5 cards 🙂
Now reading this, you gave me even more to copy and paste. Thank you!!! How He just leads us so wonderfully!

  4. Oh wow, how brilliant!!! How simple to just take a screenshot and create a photo album to read and scroll through!!! What an easy daily, or even an hourly task for our personal spiritual trainers to assign to clients so they can become spiritually strong while also ridding themselves of unwanted fatty lies haha 😂 “Darling, I just love the way you paint these pictures for me— especially when you make me laugh”
Yvonne can you add this to IOU PST?

    1. Amazing how He leads us to look at something, then leads us to the next, and the next… until He created His beautiful picture!

  5. Thank you Adina, we will go through waiting seasons always!! We need to enjoy the wait!! Thank you for gatheringthis valuable info!!
