“You have sown much, but harvest little; “You eat, but there is not enough to be satisfied; You drink, but there is not enough to“You have sown much, but harvest little; “You eat, but there is not enough to be satisfied; You drink, but there is not enough to become drunk; You put on clothing, but no one is warm enough; And he who earns, earns wages to put into a purse with holes.” — Haggai 1:6
This is one of my favorite chapters in Moving Mountains and the scriptures because l relate to it so much from my past when l had a purse that never had enough to cover all my needs.
This chapter reminds me a lot of the Poverty Mentality course because tithing is a heart thing. Its all about something simple that we call trust and faith and Poverty Mentality builds your faith in His ability to provide.
Having a purse with endless holes month after month calls for much worrying and sleepless nights. The part of the scripture that says we earn money but His house lies desolate and bare is thought provoking. And why? It actually says that God blows it away because we take care of our own homes while His lies in ruins. Because we are not tithing. So if we are not tithing and are experiencing lack it clearly says that :
“And so, I’ve given you a dry summer and a skimpy crop. I’ve matched your tight-fisted stinginess by decreeing a season of drought, drying up fields and hills, withering gardens and orchards, stunting vegetables and fruit. Nothing—not man or woman, not animal or crop—is going to thrive.” Hag 3:11
A dry crop and a skimpy summer it says and drought. In modern day having jobs l believe it relates to working long hours but never earning enough to cover all your needs.
Recently l also started tithing to the Bible App that l use daily that is reaching millions around the world. I also decided that l would tithe on the grocery money eh gives me which l must remember to do.
And giving is also important to not experience lack. Recently when l experienced lack and had nothing l made the decision to give away the little l was given. It was a small amount that l could use to buy bread and milk but l decided to just tithe the whole amount because l could not tithe l had no income. Truly HE was faithful and blessed me with way, way more so that today l dont experience lack and my Beloved has met all my needs 💖
Thank you for sharing the lessons and your testimony precious Atarah. I remember not having enough but keeping back because I was scared to not have enough and my money just didn’t hold and then I remember giving while I also didn’t have enough but the Lord always provided. I now tithe and I am so grateful for RMI teaching me this very important principal because it is unbelievable how my Darling Lord opens the windows of heaven for me and my family.
“For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” Jeremiah 29:11

My sweet Atarah, I love this chapter too! Our Beloved is using everything in our lives to bring Him glory!
Every step in faith makes all the difference in the world!
Every time we surrender all we have in Him, we see fruits!
The Lord wants to use you right now, right where you are (Philippians 2:13)

He will use your life to minister to others! He will not leave you where you are but will work in your heart to make you more like Him. As you serve and encourage those around you, He will grow you spiritually. He will heal your heart as He uses you to heal others. While you lean on our Heavenly Husband to fill in your places of inadequacy, He will teach you who He is and who you are in Him.
Thank you for sharing my dear Atarah!
