♕ Today's Promise: "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away." Mark 13:31
~ Selase in Ghana
Dear Brides, remember all those feelings you have when you meet someone and later fall head over heels in-love with them…well that’s what’s our Beloved is calling you to come experience again and this time He promises that it’s everlasting, never to be abandoned again!
I recently find my self proclaiming that “HE’S ALL I WANT, NEED AND LIVE FOR” and now it’s becoming a life style where indeed without Him I feel completely empty. Yes I still do have my struggles from time to time but this time He’s who I’m running to, not anyone else. I no longer feel lonely because I know He’s with me guiding my every step and that even when I fall He’s right there to help me up.
Will making my Beloved King first in my heart mean there wouldn’t be space for anyone else even my EH (earthly husband)?….I would admit my lack of understanding to this did scare me quite a bit in the beginning, having Him as King of my heart means not placing anything or anyone above Him, means He’s the first I seek in everything. Life I have come to know is never perfect, so what happened when the disappointment set in, the betrayals, who do we run to if He isn’t FIRST in hearts!
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
“Seek first the kingdom of God and it’s righteousness and ALL things shall be added unto you” Matthew 6:33
I remember asking myself how do I make Him first when the answer had been there right in front of me all along, the only way I could get intimate with my Beloved was through His word the more I studied it.
He speaks to us through the scriptures and they are ten times where I’d read something in the scripture and then later on had someone repeat similar things to me which only goes on the affirm what His words says.
Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and take up residence with him." John 14:23
Dear Bride, it is only when we have Him first in our hearts do you get all the love that we all seek for.
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end” Lamentations 3:22
Continue to proclaim that “HE’S ALL YOU WANT, NEED AND LIVE FOR!"
And soon you find that without Him you are nothing.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing” John 15:5
“Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first” Revelations 2:4
Many times we idolize this in our lives such as our EH (earthly husband), children, worldly possessions forgetting who it is that made it possible for us to have all these things in our life. I for one idolize my husband and worldly possessions to the point where nothing else mattered.
"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away." Mark 13:31
Why is should we struggled to acquire all other things when what our Beloved is offering us is ETERNAL!
