I Felt The Lord Was Too Late In My Situation…

"I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

When I read this spesific passage from Chapter 1, Living The Abundant Life, it really let me think:

"I know that you and I have all heard that God is never late, but that is just not true. Remember, Jesus was late on purpose when his good friend Lazarus was sick. He actually let His good friend die on purpose. That’s because God loves to write the last chapter—the sort of chapter that makes us want to jump up and down and let out a shout of praise! Instead of just healing a sick person, Jesus takes this miracle over the top and raises His friend, the one wrapped in grave clothes—He raised Lazarus from the dead!"

I'm going to be honest, when my husband left me for another woman, divorced me on top of that, I was in incredible debt, my oldest son chose to stay with his father, I had severe depression, my baby was born with special needs, I thought or let me say I felt (because I lived on feelings), that the Lord arrived not only late, but far too late in my life, in my situation. BUT He was late for a much greater purpose. How else would I find a passion to try to help broken women, how else would there be a beautiful testimony of recovery with my son, how else would there be a testimony of deliverance from depression, how else would my youngest son be a walking testimony, how else would I be part of RMI...

Dearest precious bride, does it feel like the Lord is far too late in your situation? Please remember the Lord is still in control and He loves to write the last chapter, so get excited with me and look forward to the beautiful chapter that He is about to write in your life.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." J29:11

  1. Janine, I got super excited reading this praise!! I remembered when I read that our Beloved is late. It gave me hope that my situation could be changed by Him at any minute!
What a wonderful way we live now, knowing that He will change our lives for His glory!
When we look back we understand the process!
    Thank you for sharing 💕

    1. Yes precious Isabella, it is really a wonderful way we living, filled with hope because He is our Hope!

  2. Exactly Janine, I am glad he brought you to RMI. You are always very encouraging. ❤️His timing may seem puzzling or even painful at times. We may feel like He is “late” to answer our prayers or help in our circumstances. However, His greater purpose is often beyond our understanding. He may be preparing us for a ministry, developing our character, or orchestrating events to bring Him glory and bring us to our Abundant Life.

    1. Thank you precious Hope, I am also glad our Darling Lord brought you to RMI. And yes it is for His glory. I just love Him!!!

  3. Dear Janine, I felt like that many times during my life, but like you shared, when we look back, there was a reason for it. Our Beloved had a plan, and His timing was perfect. He wrote the final chapter. If He answered my prayers 5 years ago and restored my marriage, I would have continued on my self-destruction journey, I would not have found my Heavenly Husband, I would still be empty inside, looking at other to make me “happy”. I would not have found RMI and be a W@H and Homeschool mom right now.

    1. Thank you for sharing precious Adina, I agree with you, I too would have continued on a self-destruction journey. His plans are really far better than my plans!

Beautiful Janine, because He knows the paths He has for each one. Your testimony encourages me a lot, because He has the last word, and in this chapter He has brought me to RMI, to do things that I never thought I could do. He is writing my story, just like everyone else’s.

    1. I am so grateful that our Darling Lord brought you toe RMI precious Liza. Yes He is busy writing your story and what a beautiful story it will be because that is just Who He is.
