â Today's Promise: âCommit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and He will do it.â Ps. 37:5
~ Kathy in Missouri
Dear Brides, how amazing that we have a loving and wise God that we can trust. Our God is a God of generations. We can trust Him to want our families to be healed and whole and serving Him. Trust His word. He can and will do what He says. Believe Him for the impossible.
I loved reading, âFor perhaps he was for this reason parted from you for a while, that you should have him back forever, no longer as a slave [of sin], but more than a slave, a beloved brother, especially to me, but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lordâ (Philem. 1:15â16).
It is the perfect summary of all I have been learning and trusting to the LORD. He reminded me that HE turned my FH (former husband) from me for a while - for healing, maturing, correcting - so that HE can bring him back to our family so that we can serve and love Him the way He deserves. All things are for His glory!
I understand that I can believe EVERY WORD that is written in the scripture. I just have to know what it says!
Every time the Spirit makes a verse jump out at me as I read, He has used it to bring me peace or wisdom for something that is coming. As I rest in the arms of my HH (Heavenly Husband), I don't get so rattled at circumstances and I am more confident in my calling to stand for my family. I am overwhelmed and humbled that He has faith in me to answer the call to turn to Him fully and stand in the gap for my family. That He believed I have it in me to surrender it all to Him is amazing. That same God has given me every reason to believe that His Word is good and true. If He says He will turn hearts, I believe Him.
The most important thing, is to daily ask Him to turn MY heart to Him fully. When He has my heart I am confident in being able to serve and love the people around me. When I am focused on Him, I am filled with peace and joy and faith to let Him be God and that He knows what He is doing. I was never able to change myself, so I trust Him to do it for me. I WANT Him to do it! I belong to Him. I choose a life of faithfulness.
Dear Brides, I learned to have hope in this chapter. Dive in and see what our beautiful LORD wants to teach you about Himself. He has so much for you!
âCommit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and He will do it.â Ps. 37:5
The LORD has given me this verse just this week! Even though Psalm 37 is one of my favorites, and I have gone to it many times for reassurance, this week this particular verse just... landed. I took in every word at a different pace. And the Spirit pressed on my heart to BELIEVE. I choose to commit my future to the LORD.
