“For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock” (Ps. 27:5).
Please read today's devotionals:
My Beloved: 31 August
My Beloved Child: 31 August
This morning's devotional is a beautiful reminder that we, as His Brides, are safely hidden under our Husband's wings, "He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler" (P914). He is our Rock and "The name of the LORD is a strong tower: The righteous runneth into it, and is safe" (P18:10)
When we are faced with trails we do not need to fret or get anxious, we can run to our prayer closet to get alone with our Husband. There in His presence we can give everything to Him and allow Him to comfort us and take all the negative feelings away. We can rest in the fact that He will conceal us and hide us from the trouble that are brewing around us, and He will lift us up on a rock where troubles can't reach us.
I love reading the devotionals each day, there is always something to speak to my circumstances or what I am going through that day. And the children and I read the AFR My Beloved Child each day when they are with me, then we talk about it and I ask them to share what the devotional meant to them and what they've learned from it. It is such a blessing to have that time to spend with them and their Heavenly Father, and my 10-year-old son always wants to pray afterwards. Precious moments spend with our children in the presence of their Heavenly Father!
