He is working

There’s nothing more exciting to see God’s working in our lives. I have prayed to be used to minister to others in need and He confirmed my “suspicion” that it’s my nanny who needs help. My nanny has shared with me recently that she is interested in learning about God because her son likes to go to church. She even agreed to join a bible study and starts praying with the other ladies in the church.
Today she shared with me about her father-in-law’s situation (his health is deteriorating and he can no longer afford to live by himself but refused to change his living condition). I seized the chance and shared with her Proverbs 21:1 and asked her to pray about it. She agreed and made a joke about me being a preacher. Before she left for the day, she shared again her other struggles with me, which pretty much confirmed my “suspicion”. She said her husband is NOT as intimate with her compared to pre-marital times and she is concerned about her marriage, even to the extent of starting thinking about “other things” (cheating and things like that). While she was getting teary, I felt led by the Lord to share with her about the verses regarding “contentious woman”. Like Erin said, “it takes one to know one”. With what she shared with me previously how she handled some things with her husband, I felt it’s the right time to share with her also 1 Corinthians 11:3. I didn’t want to push too hard so I stopped there and told her to meditate on the words. After she left, all I could think about was how wonderful our Lord is.
As I learned more about waiting for the Lord, this is such a good reminder to myself that He answers our prayers in His time and surely, it will happen if we believe and wait for Him patiently.
While I am on this praise, I just could not help not sharing another praise. About 2 months ago, I tried to get my older daughter to pray with me but she ran to her dad and said she didn’t want to pray. EH then told me to stop forcing her to pray and said he didn’t care about my prayers. Guess what, the past 2 nights, he asked my daughter to pray for the family and when she said no, he said “I will pray with you”. EH is teaching our kid to pray! God is good!
“In the Lord’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him.” Proverbs 21:1
“But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.” 1 Corinthians 11:3
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.” Isaiah 55:8

  1. Beautiful praise, Gioia. I will leave this to Adina to minister with your more, but my Husband did lead me to go looking to see if it was you or someone else who I’d encouraged to please enroll in https://rmiou.com/htgs/ and begin the https://rmiou.com/courses/abundant-life-coach/ course because I sense that both Atarah https://hopeatlast.org/ and Adina could both easily take on two apprentices each.

Based on your testimony here, it does appear He’s calling you— so the next time someone accuses you of being a preacher hahaha, you can say something like, “Well, funny that you should say that because I’ve enrolled in an online university to become an Abundant Life Coach” and based on how He Leads you https://loveatlast.org/living-lessons/week-3-he-leads-me/ you may find yourself asking your Nanny to join you explaining it’s FREE!!

    1. Dear Erin, thank you for sharing! I am actually really excited for my nanny when she shared that she wants to learn more about the Lord and I was so eager to be used to help her progress in this journey. When the time is right and the Lord leads me to share RMI with her, I will certainly move ahead. You reminded me that there was a time I was asking the Lord what he would like me to do and I heard “preach”. That was very early on in my journey with RMI and my response was – “no way, I have not even read the whole bible.” Yes I will enroll in the course and can’t wait to grow more spiritually.
And, last but not least, thank you for starting RMI and shining the light on our only hope – the Lord!

      1. Amazing my dear Gioia and thank you for sharing your heart with us and also following His lead. I would like to encourage you to also share your praise reports to encourage other women, or what He showed you in a lesson that helped you, and also to comment on the posts and share what He showed you in the posts. So many times the Lord uses our testimonies or praises as an answer to what somebody else is struggling with and Seeked God for. Can’t wait to read more praises from you and following your progress through RMIOU!

    2. You I haven’t been laid to that really broken woman because in our country Zambia people believe if a marriage falls then it’s charms or witchcraft.
I pray I can just be laid to talk and share this knowledge we learn here, I sometimes have dreams of preaching and praying to people, I haven’t really don’t know what the Lord is speaking to me.

      1. Dear Sonia, there are many times I could not be sure if the Lord was speaking to me. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, that is to be patient. Because if it is indeed His voice, He would confirm it somehow. I just have to be more attentive and alert. Remember our Lord is a miracle maker, He will make a way there’s no way 🙂

  2. This is a powerful and encouraging praise, this is my everyday cry to our Husband to use me and to grow more spiritually.

  3. Thank you Sonia and Gioia. Yes He called you to ministry He will make a way. I just want to share something that happened to me, years ago, just after I got married, somebody at work came up to me, not a complete stranger, I knew him from work and church when we still attended church, and told me that I would be in ministry one day. I just shrugged it off, because I thought to myself I am definitely not cut out to be a minister and I am working full time, he must be mistaken and probably just wanted to say something. But look at where I am now \o/\o/ He made a way. And through RMIOU and posting praises and commenting you can encourage other women with your testimonies or what He showed you in the lessons. You can also start your own online ministries using Social Media or Google Sites.

    1. Dear Adina, thanks for sharing! Just curious – did you say something that prompted him to make the comment? It got me thinking about how I just went my way a lot of times but I ended up doing exactly what the Lord wants me to do in the first place and that’s when I learned I really need to surrender to His will. Thy will be done!

      1. Hello my dear Gioia, no I did not say or do anything, I was in his department to have a quality test done on some of the products, and he just mentioned it. I did not take it very seriously because at that stage it was not in my “own plans” for my life.

        1. Dear Adina, I see. It’s those “random” comments that sometimes come back to surprise us. I just saw something today about God’s purpose always prevails no matter which direction we initially choose ❤️‍🔥
