â Today's Promise: "One thing Iâll do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I [will] press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesusâ Phil. 3:12â14

Dear Brides, if you are like me, your marriage is not the only relationship that is broken. The same ignorance, pride or sin has left it's mark on others in your life. The Lord came to save us, even from ourselves. Allow Him to fill your life and dare to believe that all things are possible with Him. Believe that the joy that is to come is worth it. Even if it's more than you can ask, think or imagine. That is His specialty.
I trust the LORD with all my heart. I trust Him with every broken relationship in my family. I know the thing He has called me to, and I am determined to be obedient. I want to do what pleases you, God.
I have spent my whole life being foolish. I have kept one foot in the Word, while never taking my other foot out of the world. I relied on other people to guide me in my life, never seeking, truly searching the Word, for wisdom, discernment or using discretion in anything. I would foolishly be proud that I would be glad to tell anyone anything - what I thought or felt, how I had sinned an been forgiven, what my or my FH's (former husband) shortcomings were. Now I understand that wisdom, discernment, discretion and knowledge come from the Holy Spirit and can be found when He allows me to understand His Word. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. I am humbly seeking Him and His wisdom every day, trusting Him to guide me forward.
I am listening. Listening to the sweet whispers of the Holy Spirit, listening to the women around me, listening for opportunities to speak truth into their lives as well as the life of my daughter. I have never discerned the brokenness of people like I do now, and i know I was created to serve Him by loving the people around me, the way He has loved me.
Dear Brides, you've dared to dream that an abundant life is out there. The road is narrow, and difficult, but He promises to guide us on the right path for His name's sake. Don't be afraid. Our Husband will not let us fall. He holds our right hand, and looks us in the eye as He teaches us. Fix your eyes on Him as He heals your brokenness.
"One thing Iâll do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I [will] press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesusâ Phil. 3:12â14
I was so glad to be reminded to STOP thinking about the wounds of my past. The ones I've committed, as well as the ones I've suffered. I'm keeping my eyes on the Lord.
