Give Up Control

Dear Brides,
This chapter is so beautiful showing us the real freedom that comes when we completely surrender it all to Him. Surrendering simply means that we are longer trying through our reasoning, thinking and planning our way out but instead it is His strength, His wisdom all powered by His love to accomplish His will in our life.

The Lord has taught me that If I surrender It all to Him I should not try or be tempted to do my way. I simply go to Him and follow His leading. He has taught me to give up control of all things and all areas of my life. I spent time with Lord by surrendering all things to Him one by one letting go of control of How to do each of them but simply wait for His leading.

I was trying so hard to plan what I will do in Uganda, how things will be. Trying to reason out somethings and planning too much ahead of time. Relocating is not easy especially in a country where your afraid of how you will proceed financially.

I understand that it is only the Lord who can establish and make my paths straight. All I need is to stop and simply trust Him with the journey and follow His leading. I stopped leaning on my understanding. I gave up control over this.

I will be living theses principles in my life by; Simply give everything to HIM, Go to God first so He can Lead me. Resist temptations of trying to do it my way. In the waiting, I spend more time with God, seek Him and keep on surrendering.

Dear Brides,
I have learnt that surrender means to give up control of and place our destiny in the hands of another. Our freedom begins when we surrender. This freedom gives us Joy and peace.

We are created to move from glory to greater glory and this is when the holy spirit slowly to show us different areas of our lives that need to be refined.

His plan is always Thy will be done.

I have learnt to simply give everything to HIM and when I have something to give up control I should go to Him 1st then He will lead me on the path He desires me to take. My work is to resist temptations of trying my own way.

In the waiting I have learnt that I should spend more time with the Lord, each time I think of it to keep on surrendering, use the time to seek more of God and more time thinking about HIM. God needs me to be a bride free from stress and consumed problems. God loves me so much that when He sees me trying so hard in my own way He will simply make it too difficult to carry until I lay it all down at His feet.

Moving towards my fears is when all the chains will fall off. Am already an overcomer according to His promise.

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” 1 John 5:4

This promise is meaningful to me because it shows me that if I do have HIM, simple I have overcome each and everything. I just need Him and Put my complete trust, hope and faith in Him. Believing all things that He is telling me especially giving it all to Him and rest in HIM.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5–6

I should not try my ways but with all my heart completely trusting the LORD. He will make my paths straight If I do not try to.

“. . . do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:25, 33

This is meaningful because It make me look at the flowers and birds that aren't trying so hard to keep their lives. I guess they are in continuous worship. Seeking Him and not worrying brings all those desires on the table.
