Filling my Hope Chest

"but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Matthew 6:20-21).

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13)

This afternoon, as I was walking with my Beloved, He brought to mind all the beautiful things He's been teaching me, the seeds He's been sowing and watering in me, and I imagined gathering up all these precious gifts and putting them into a hope chest, storing them up to be used after the wedding feast. What a beautiful place to live, as a bride, cherishing each new treasure, storing it up and looking forward to putting it all to good use in the life He is building for me!

  1. Thank you Dina for sharing! This journey with our Heavenly Husband is precious and I wouldn’t exchange it for anything. Yes, it started with heartbreak and destruction, but that is what was needed for me to be willing to embark on this journey, I had to be broken enough.
I love how you are putting all the wonderful treasures in a hope chest for after the wedding feast.
