Dear Brides, if you feel that you are facing too much at the moment, that your feeling humiliated and don't know where to go, this chapter ["Valley of Humiliation"] is for you.

There are a lot of things in this lesson that spoke to my heart. The first one was just remembering the sleepless nights but then also finding that safe place with Him. I have a go to place when I feel lost and it comes from the verse:

"The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is safe." Proverbs 18:10

Whenever I feel overwhelmed and things gets too much for me, I just picture myself running out of the storm into this castle, but it is like an old tower castle and there are no other furniture inside except this couch right in front of the fire. The moment I fling open that door, the warmth of the fire can be felt and as soon as I sit down and put my weary head on the shoulders of my Heavenly Husband who is of course just sitting there staring at the fire waiting for me to come, I can feel all my anxiety leave me and I feel safe knowing that next to Him, nothing can get to me. He will protect me from all harm.

That took me back and it also reminded me of what the author said about losing that in-love feeling.

I realized that I lost that in-love feeling because I am so busy with everything around me that I don't take the time to just sit and talk to Him.

That is not what He wants for me. He does not want me to be Martha all the time but to be Mary and just sit at His feet and listen to Him.

The last thing that really stood out for me in this chapter was also that we should encourage others even though and maybe especially when we don't feel like it. Give and it will be given to us applies to everything in our lives.

Dear Brides, the most important thing that I want to share with you from this lesson is to know that in those times of humiliation, you are never alone, He is always there with You. Let Him guide You and lead You and be the one you run to whenever you need to talk. Then He will remind you of all the good He has done for you over the years.
