Dear Brides, talk about the right timing! I should not be surprised how He brings what we need when we need it. The chapter "Teetering on the Brink of Prosperity" was for me an invitation to a life of surrender to His ways, following and obeying Him even when it does not make sense.
He taught me the importance of following what He is telling me to do even if it does not make sense at the time. It was eye-opening what the author shared: "Itâs impossible to understand fully, until after you obey....understanding fully only happens after you obey; thatâs when He will open your eyes to help you understand why, and it will make sense."
While asking Him about it, He reminded me of Moses, Jeremiah, and many others that didn't wait to understand the Lord's request, but obeyed what He asked them to do, even when it didn't make sense.
The chapter reminded me of the importance of obeying and giving, at each step He continues to strengthen and build our faith, to continue to live a life of complete surrender and obedience. We also may face opposition from others or from within us, but no matter what, following Him will always bring great blessings.
I was struggling with when He is calling me to do something I never did before. So instead of looking at it with excitement, I looked with fear for not having what "I believed" I need to have in order to do what He asked me when He is the one that will do it. My trust was in myself rather than Him, which made me lean in my own understanding and in others as well. But Praise the Lord that brought conviction to my life and has been teaching me each day to follow Him.
The way I want to live this principle is to simply obey even when I don't understand. While asking Him about it, He brought to my mind one of the hardest situations that we faced before, where He asked me to do something when everybody said the opposite. While others and feelings within told me to go to my home country, the Lord asked me to stay, and I was able to see His overflowing blessings in my life. Reminding me of it strengthened my faith to want even more to live this principle. I also want to take the opportunities He gives me to share this truth and principle with others as well.
Dear Brides, whatever crisis you are going through now, know that He is bringing you higher! What I love about Abundant Life books is that they will bring what you need at the time you need.

It is very important to ask the Lord to check our hearts and motivations, to surrender from our way of thinking, and let Him guide us to do His will.
