â Today's Promise: âBut I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also. Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two.â Matthew 5:38â40

Koleti's Journal Part 1: As He Leads You
So everything I give, I will do it by faith, and by faith, we should give away what we have by sharing what Heâs done for us in the past.
This is the area where I was struggling with, the principle of 'Giving'. What it means, I was struggling with doing it with wisdom and understanding, not from the heart and faith.
What I know now when I give I need to wait upon the Lord's direction of where should I help. As shared by the testimony to look for opportunities to give but donât just run around giving. Therefore you and I need to get closer to God so He can reveal to us the area that needs our giving and our help. Again, when you give do not resist the evil person as the Word declared in Matthew 5 verses 30-40, âBut I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also. Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him twoâ
Within the scriptures declared in this chapter, I need to experience and put into action what the Word has stated, in order to be real in me and with my walk with my Lord. And I hope what I shared about this chapter will also help you and experience the Love of God.
Firstly, before my days begin I asked the Lord to direct my steps and show me where I should help and give. And when I go shopping and meet with these homeless people, instead of giving money I will bring them food because I know they want money to buy them smokes or drugs. in a situation like this, I could offer them a prayer or introduce the Lord to them.
At work, as I am an early childhood teacher, I am and could help the children by giving them my love and support with their learning and development, and also help the teachers to do the setting and plan according to the children's interests and needs. And as I mentioned before I will keep on giving to the homeless people by providing food and praying for them.
And at home, I will still continue to love and support my children and their family, especially at this time of difficulty they are going through having no father to look at when they need help, but I thank God I have a HH (Heavenly Husband) that He is a father to them and a provider for them as well.
But most of all is asking the Lord to show me where I should give to help.
Dear Brides, I have learned, that when I give I need to give with love, faith, and from the heart. Also, as the testimony shared in this chapter, if we simply understand and embrace the principle of giving in the midst of your need, you will find, as I did, that God really designed trials to increase what you have, not simply to test your faith. Let me put it this way: when there is a âlackâ in your finances (or any other area of your life), God wants you to give (as He leads you), so that He can increase what you have.
So like all things spiritual, we need to kill the flesh (by not feeding it) and instead walk in the spirit, so the spirit and our faith will increase. With this truth, you will now have the ability to change your state of mind, so that whenever there is a lack, you will rejoice knowing that God has designed this need in order to bring about an increase in your life!!
I hope and pray that what I learned from this chapter will bless your heart too Dear Brides. Love you all and God bless.
âBut I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also. Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two.â Matthew 5:38â40
This scripture is blessed and challenging to me through this journey with my walk in the Lord. I want to make sure that I have the voice of the Lord through His Word. As the scripture mentioned above stated, not to resist an evil person, so I am referring to this evil person as my EH (earthly husband) because He is doing evil things, but I am not thinking of him as my enemy because he is not my enemy.
When my husband comes to visit home, he always asked for my help with money. So I gave him money, but in my mind, I have negative thoughts that I should not give him what he wants. I always have that thinking but the scripture for today's chapter explained clearly that I am doing this not for him but according to God's will.
