â Today's Promise: âBut I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also. Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two.â Matthew 5:38â40

Dear Brides
This chapter I read is about âGive it Awayâ not just financially but in every area of your life, such as spiritually, physically, emotionally, and financially, as the testimony shared today in chapter 4.
The testimony shared that the good news is, that if we simply understand and embrace the principle of giving and your need, we will find, as she did, that God designed trials to increase what she has, not simply to test her faith. She also said, when there is a âlackâ in your finances (or any other area of your life), God wants you to give (as He leads you) so that He can increase what you have.
Wow this testimony not only blessed my heart but also challenged me, and I need to look and find where my heart sits when it comes to this place of 'Giving'. But firstly, Let me share something about this principle of 'Giving'. When I and my EH (earthly husband) were attending our old church, we give a lot of money for our sacrifices every year about thousands of dollars, not including the giving that we give to the church every Sunday. Even if the activities took place at weekends, we never missed it, we always give time to volunteer especially when it comes to doing sausage sizzles.
The reason why I am telling my story is that, after I read about this chapter, I have learned if I give not only do I live by faith but also give from my heart. As the testimony also shared in this chapter to look for opportunities to give, but donât just run around giving. God needs to present opportunities to you and open the door for it to bring His increase.
There are times when we might see a need, but God doesnât want us to fill it. It might be that the need is for someone else to fill or it may be that the lack is what God is using to get the other person to cry out to Him. And as God told me, staying close to Him will give us the greatest protection of doing it just right! But the most time to give is when you and I are in need. My HH (Heavenly Husband) taught me a lot and I have learned so much about what He wants me to do according to His will.
That is the first point and the second one is as the testimony shared, the good news is, if we simply understand and embrace the principle of giving in the midst of your need, we will find, as I did, that God really designed trials to increase what you have, not simply to test your faith. Let me put it this way: when there is a âlackâ in your finances (or any other area of your life), God wants you to give (as He leads you) so that He can increase what you have. Wow, this has touched my heart so deeply and challenged my faith.
Thirdly, our flesh wants to do the opposite; when we are in need we tend to hide or hoard what we have. So like all things spiritual, we need to kill the flesh (by not feeding it) and instead walk in the spirit, so the spirit and our faith will increase. With this truth, you will now have the ability to change your state of mind, so that whenever there is a lack, you will rejoice to know that God has designed this need in order to bring about an increase in your life!!
Fourthly, The principle of giving when you are in need is not just applicable to finances and money, it also holds true for every area of your life and by faith and to believe what we do not see, and trust God for each miracle.
And lastly, look for opportunities to give, but donât just run around giving. God needs to present opportunities to you and open the door for it to bring His increase. There are times when we might see a need, but God doesnât want us to fill it. It might be that the need is for someone else to fill or it may be that the lack is what God is using to get the other person to cry out to Him. And as God told me, staying close to Him will give us the greatest protection of doing it just right!.
