♕ Today's Promise: “To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing.” 1 Peter 3:8-9

Dear Brides,
I must say God works in wonderful ways, I read this chapter, "Guilty of All" many times and did not see the blessing until today! God knows when we are prepared to hear it or see it. You know many times we go through life thinking life is not fair or we don't know why things happen to us. Our automatic response is that of anger resentment, but here in this chapter, you will learn that there is more, that God has wonderful surprises for us. He has a reason for things and we need to trust Him. Read this chapter with excitement and discover what He has for you.
I learned that I must not resist any life events or situations that I feel are particularly unfair. That instead, I shall seek God to possibly find understanding and wait for the blessing, but also find out how I can give the blessing to those that might I hold resentment or bitterness to. You see I have gone through life thinking I don't hold any bitterness, but I think I do. Probably from now on, I need to find ways to bless those I feel have harmed me.
How I will be utilizing this principle today is to make conscious to begin to acknowledge potentially where my bitterness or resentments come from. Come to terms with that, ask God to tell me how I can be of a blessing to those people, you see today I need to start healing myself. I need to break the pattern of destruction. How can I be of a blessing today?
Dear Brides this is a wonderful journey we all embark on, the circumstances are not great, but if they were, would you have responded to the call? I don't think so, so let's put on a smile and get excited about what our Lover has in store for us. Let us find out how we can be a blessing to anyone especially to those who have harmed us.
“To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing.” 1 Peter 3:8-9
This is powerful to me because it really tests me personally, especially on the being humble part. Oh I am humble I say but I still keep it deep down.
