“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8–10).
After reading this lesson l lay thinking about many of the debts that have accumulated that number 1, seems impossible to get up to date and number 2. Where will l get the money to pay it off?
In this lesson in Moving Mountains called Eaten Alive l came across a couple of things the writer wrote that l found very interesting, thought provoking and it definitely relates to issues and problems l have regarding my finances and debts.
The writer had issues with back tithes she owes but my problem is money that l owe to debtors and accumulated debts. Are you like me and does it seem or feel like you are never going to get out of debt? Thats those amounts that you owe you can never get out of it?
It says in Romans 13:8 “Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another.”
I read this scripture years ago and l felt convicted that it had to get paid but hopeless because how was l ever going to pay up my debt?
What gave me so much hope is the way the writer explained HOW we should look at and THINK of our debt. This was a revelation to me!
Let me share what was written:
Finances and Salvation
Now let me take this to a higher plane. In the Bible, God always compares our finances to salvation. That means that in the same way I am unable to pay my debt for my sins, He allowed me to see that I am totally unable to pay my debts, which now included back, or past tithes owed to Him.
Just as it would be foolish for me to set out on a journey to pay for my past sins, it also would be foolish for me to try to pay my debt, owed to Him, for past tithes.
So in essense its just like our salvation, our Beloved paid the debt.
The other thing that was mentioned is that we are being set up, that God allows the calamity for a huge blessing. So l should be excited and not feel disheartened 😉
Theres so much more to unpack from this chapter… So l hope that you will go read it if you relate to what l shared 🙏 l definitely need to read it again and speak to my Husband because theres more in this chapter l know he needs to reveal to me.
But get excited because like the writer says He will make a way when there seems to be no way 🙌
Love this post! My sweet Atarah, He is planning a huge blessing for you and all of us who are surrendering our lives completely to Him! A week ago I was feeling the same way you describe here and because we are reading now Deuteronomy as a family, Our Beloved reminded me about Caleb, who had to wait 40 years to get to his promised land and defeat the giant sons of Anac! He didn´t sin against the Lord and still, he waited patiently for Our Beloved to fulfill His promise!
We are the same, today our Heavenly Husband wants us to stand in faith and trust that He will make a way!
Amen Isabella l am so glad you were encouraged 🥰🤗 thank you for sharing what you read as a family in the Bible. Yes we must be patient and its true so many things l have seen our Beloved xhange did not happen overnight, its a journey and yes we must stand in trust and faith and praise and we can be joyful during the wait because He is taking care of us 🙌❤️
“Are you like me and does it seem or feel like you are never going to get out of debt? Thats those amounts that you owe you can never get out of it?”
Yes, if I look at it all, it seems the same way you describe. I had in previous years created quite a mess. He also showed me that same verse in Romans that you mention. I’m just waiting for Him to see how to apply it to my situation. It may look hopeless but as we know with Him ALL things are possible! ♥️
Yes Hope funny l thought that l had read this chapter but it was such a revelation to look at my debt the way we look at how salvation a debt already paid 😳 sounds crazy right?! Im in the process of allowing the revelation to sink in.. And yes with Him all things are possible may we believe 🙌💯🥰
Thank you dear Atarah, I can relate to what you’ve shared. I have some debts from previous mistakes that I have been paying for years, without seeing the mountain getting smaller, but I am so trusting in my Beloved who will move this mountain!
Yes Adina Amen, those mountains must fall we have to activate that faith even if its as tiny as a mustard seed. A lot of the time we just leave it one side.. So im grateful for these lessons and chapters that bring it out for us to face but with the TRUTH. Revelations that are sooo amazing we could hardly believe it 😅🥳
