The Blessing Ahead

♕ Today's Promise: “But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also. Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two.” Matthew 5:38–40

Dear Brides, God loves us so much that He is setting us up to receive incredible blessing and to be able to give Him glory! Be willing to change your perspective, so that you can see the incredible work the blood of the Lord allows Him to do in and for us!

Beloved Brides pray with me: Oh my Love, You have taught me so much. You are so gracious and kind. Your goodness is overwhelming. I am thankful that You understand that the trials You bring us through are not easy. You don't expect, or want me to be a robot. You want my heart! You want me to surrender my hurts, my confusion and my actions to You. You want me to trust You fully and walk by faith, not by sight - or by how I feel or think. You have been gracious to give me the answers in Your words, now if I choose to walk through my trials the way You ask me to, You are able to bless me! I am so thankful that You have brought me to this place, on this journey. You are everything.

I understand that there are spiritual laws in place, set there by the Creator of all things. And He chooses to be bound by these laws, as He binds us as well as the adversary. So by the law of sowing and reaping, if we sow peace, love or kindness, He is able to bless us with the fruit of these seeds. So when my FH (former husband) demanded that I send him something that I treasure that had once belonged to my deceased mother-in-law, I sent it. I went to my HH (Heavenly Husband) and poured out my heart to Him, and told Him how much it broke my heart. I told Him that I understood what He expected of me, and I that I knew immediately that I would be obedient to His command in Matthew 5, but I was still sad to part with the handmade quilt that was so dear to me.

However, I know that if I had chosen to be selfish, if I had denied having it (a lie), or refused to send it, all the seeds I have sown into my daughter leading her toward forgiveness would have been dug up and unproductive. It would have given my FH and his new wife something terrible to say about me to my daughter, and my nieces and nephews who are watching me closely. I have told them over and and over again that the Lord is my everything, and they are looking for proof. Looking for the fruit. And when each of these finally chooses to surrender their lives to the Lord, I will be able to rejoice with Him! That blessing will be worth far more than anything in this world!

My faith in the love of my Husband, in His very nature and desire to bless me will enable me to see trials for what they are a little more easily every time. They are His desire to bless me and bring my heart even closer to Him. Trials are intended to grow my faith in His love, and my reactions will bear witness to the people in whom I am sowing seeds. When my precious daughter lashes out, I will continue to speak softly to her broken heart. When my FH (former husband) is demanding or uncaring, I will be quiet and only speak to my Husband and true Love about it, so the enemy can not use it to sow bad seed in my family.

Dear Brides, valuable things are not easily obtained. There is a sacrifice that makes them valuable. The blessings from our Beloved are worth the hard things you will have to walk through to get them. They are so worth it.

“But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also. Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two.” Matthew 5:38–40

This has been the driving force behind so many of my choices, and responses to my FH (former husband). I believe that by walking the path He has set me on, in the way that He is asking me to, trusting Him for the blessing ahead will be worth it. His love is too good, too comprehensive, for me to believe anything less than He desires to do good in and for my life. And He will be the only reason, and get all the glory!
