Love Them Where They Are

♕ Today's Promise: “To sum up, let all be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil, or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing.” 1 Pet. 3:8

Dear Brides, He is so good. BELIEVE that He loves you and wants good things for you and your family. Have faith in who He says He is. He will not let you down.

He reminded me that my faith is not misplaced. That it is perfectly appropriate to place my faith in the God of the universe, who's Word tells me that He loves family, He is a God of generations, and He gives me the instructions to walk His path if I will seek it.

I have recently been approached by the adult daughter of a woman who had experienced infidelity and left her husband. The daughter wanted to know what attorney I used in my divorce. I explained that I had hired an attorney in the beginning, but was led by the Holy Spirit to release him. I offered to talk to her mother any time, and so I have been praying to be prepared to speak to her with kindness and truth if she reaches out to me. It will be the first time I will have ministered to a woman in my particular circumstances. These verses remind me of my "why". Why I let my attorney go, why I chose to bless my FH (former husband) and the OW (other woman). His word is the lamp to my feet and the light to my path that I choose to follow no matter how it looks to anyone else.

I am blessed to serve women in my current job, as I speak to women who may be having a bad day, it's important to love them where they are. I have never had a woman who began a conversation with me with a sharp tongue, not respond to my soft answers well. Being a blessing, giving blessing to those who may not deserve it in my everyday life is preparing me to be and give blessings to my FH (former husband) and son when the LORD brings them back into my life.

Dear Brides, it can seem an impossible task to bless someone who has hurt you deeply. But if you will trust in the promises given by our beautiful LORD, you will always be able to hold your head up and walk in confidence that you are walking in faith. Believing His promise to bless you when you do. You can do this! I believe in you!

“To sum up, let all be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil, or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing.” 1 Pet. 3:8

It is the word I need to remember to give a blessing so that I may receive a blessing.
