It Was Impossible to Forgive

♕ Today's Promise: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”Gal. 5: 22-25

Dear brides,

Let us experience the freedom and joy that comes from forgiveness and be heirs of blessing, because this is promised to us by our Beloved in His word. The pain we experience is for a short time if we snuggle to our Love and let Him heal every wound. Let us call on Him to help us forgive and to be able to forget, because He also does this - He will forgive, cleanse us, and forget what was so that He could love us with His infinite love.

In this wonderful chapter ["First to Throw a Stone"], I have remembered how sinful I am. I sin every day, even though I don't want to do it, and that's why I'm one of those who needs forgiveness, grace, light, I need a healer. The fact that He has shown me how sinful I am leads me to mercy and forgiveness for others, and it is wonderful that I feel so free. And of course grateful, because anger and a hardened heart is not what my Beloved wants for me.

I often hear the phrase, "I forgive, but I do not forget." This means that this person's actions are influenced by what he has experienced, and I do not think that this person has really forgiven. Well, in the chapter we read that until we release our culprit by forgiveness, the culprit will not feel the full consequences of his sin, but instead we will live with the burden. It is something I have not heard anywhere before, I have not read, it is something that changes the whole situation, it changes the heart, life. Of course, probably every one of us has already experienced that it was impossible to forgive, it is very difficult, but there is our Beloved who can help us with this \o/ if we ask Him, He will do it gladly.

I have already learned in previous RMI (Restore Ministries International) materials that it is necessary to forgive other people who are involved in the whole situation. One of them is the OW (other woman), who, as we learn, is also just another of the victims. The chapter reminds us that she is basically our sister, who will soon be, as we were, disappointed and wounded, because the human love she so longed for cannot fill the void that can only be filled by Him and His perfect love.

When my restoration journey began and I had to deal with forgiveness towards the OW, I prayed a lot for it and blessed her. One of my acquaintances even wrote to me, a Christian, who found out about my situation and I was pleasantly surprised by what she wrote to me. In about two sentences, she told me about the OW she knew personally, as well about the family background and a sin I knew nothing about. Eventually she wrote me to pray for her, and I agreed with her and did so. I have to admit that in recent months some things have reminded me again and I have had trouble forgiving and blessing the "enemy". I confess everything to my Love and I ask Him to help me with that, because I am weak. He sent me this chapter at the right time, and I do not have enough words to thank Him.

Dear brides,

I believe that you also enjoy His mercy, because each of us has sinned. But He has given us forgiveness that we do not deserve, so let us continue His example and do the same to our culprits.

"I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more." Isaiah 43:25

"The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Gal. 6: 19-21

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”Gal. 5: 22-25
