He Chose Us for a Wonderful Purpose

♕ Today's Promise: "These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls." 1 Peter 1:7-9

In this wonderful chapter ["What Is the Abundant Life?"] we can realize that with the Lord we have everything we must learn to feel joy only.

The day to day and the eagerness lead us to disconnect from the One who gives us everything, that is why prayer at all times helps us to maintain ourselves, helps us to follow this path that, although difficult, is not impossible.

It doesn't mean that we have to spend all day on our knees. God wants to be the first to know everything we do. He knows everything, but to maintain ourselves we must put everything in His hands. Particularly when I'm in my car, I imagine that He's going to talk to me and be by my side. I talk to Him when I know that I am going to face difficult situations in my daily life, I talk to Him and ask Him to be the one speaking, thinking, listening and glorifying Himself in me. That is how I have been able to be calm in situations in my life and they are easier because I know that He is in control.

Speaking as always about the benefits that obedience brings, it is very important to try as much as possible to be obedient to God. He likes that He sees our hearts and pays attention to us when we make Him an important part of our lives. Do not despair, look for Him and you will see how marriage restoration will remain in the background and you will even wonder if you really want restoration. Many times it saddens me to think that I do not want my husband to return but the truth is that I do not want to lose this tranquility that I feel at this moment in my life, but I keep fighting because I do not want that for my offspring. So I ask that it be His will and not mine and I know that the ultimate glory of my house will be much better than the first.

Dear bride, do not lose the opportunity to make the Lord first in your life, do not continue looking for the restoration of your marriage, look for eternity that God gives us. It is wonderful to know that He is preparing an inn for us and our families. I really do not know how He is going to do it but I think in His promises and if we are the ones who must pay the price, then Glory to God because with that we have the certainty that He chose us for a wonderful purpose. Keep looking for Him and as this chapter teaches us repeat every time you can, YOU ARE EVERYTHING I WANT, EVERYTHING I NEED AND WITH YOU I HAVE EVERYTHING!

"These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls." 1 Peter 1:7-9

These verses teach us that what we should pursue is the eternal life that God offers us, we should put our eyes on Him alone. I learned that we should not look for happiness where we will not find it, we should seek to fill our emptiness with the only One who can fill them which is the Lord, only GOD IS ENOUGH.
