One of my absolute favorite places to spend my time is reading the book of Psalms. And one of my absolute favorite Psalms is Psalm 23. It may even be the only one you know by heart, or at least one you probably have heard.
Psalm 23 (King James Version)
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
The 23 Psalm from the KJV "King James Version" Bible version is very poetic in the book of Psalms and is the one I have often written on my index cards.
Next, though there are endless Life Principles, hidden gems, in these six lines of Psalm 23, there are THREE simple words that you need to focus on this week:
HE LEADS ME.
The way to develop a close and intimate relationship with the Lord is when you realize just how close He is to you. And by simply saying these THREE words: HE LEADS ME, you will begin to experience a new way of life.
Here are two more verses that confirm the Living Principle that I am teaching you this week that you need to add to your target verses that you meditate on day and night.
Isaiah 30:21
Your ears will hear a word behind you, "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right or to the left.
John 10:27
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me..."
This week's assignment is to continue adding to your "target" or "key" verses that you FAITHFULLY keep right next to your bed; reading them FIRST when you wake up, and also AGAIN right before you go to sleep at night—in other words—meditating on them day and night!
And, even more delightful: my "delight is in the law of the LORD." So instead of continuing with "self-talk" that is useless and I believe silly (since how can we know the answers we need?). You should ASK the Lord to guide you by saying these three words each time you set out to do the simplest or most complex task today and every day this week. "HE LEADS ME"
Unleashing the TRUTH
This has to be one of the best LL Living Lessons my Husband taught me. I use it ALL day EVERY day. HLM 👣👣👣 there are several promises, our beloved gives us that confirm this truth. However, it’s the testimony of so many of us as proof that it works! It’s been a while since I’ve read this wLL so I can’t confirm it’s been written as well as it is continuously performed. I assume it explains it well enough since our ministry team members work this way and remind each other—this is the only way to not only work, but to LIVE.

This is so wonderful. He has grown this truth in my heart, SO MUCH, since I first read this lesson a couple months ago. The FREEDOM that comes from this truth is astonishing. Our human minds fail to grasp the bigness that is God. I pray that each and every one of you who read this lesson, ask Him to grow this truth, to show you, to confirm, to lead you more and more. Ask, seek knock. Keep asking, keep seeking and keep knocking. the knocking means, here I am Beloved, I taste and see how good you are and I’m desperate for more, I won’t leave until I see you!

Isn’t het wonderful precious Rasa, how our Darling Lord opens the truth in our hearts. I agree with you that every women that will come and read this Living Lesson, will grasp this powerful Living Lesson and make it a part of their whole being to allow our Darling Lord to lead them in every area of their lives and that it will too be life changing for them like it was for us.
This is really good thank you! I am still praying and belieivng for my marriage to be restore, but yet letting go of my husband and trusting in the Lord. I had a moment today when I was really mad with God becuase I feel I have been doing all the things….praying, fasting, believing, reading the books, tithing, and nothing is changing with my husband. So I again had to get on my face with the Lord and ask for his forgiveness. I don’t want to do all these things just to get my husband back. I want to do these things just to grow closer to the Lord. What’s funny is that my husband and I have been separated for almost a year, and I didn’t care about restoring my marriage until a couple months ago, things happened to WAKE ME UP, and I started fighting for my marriage, whereas before I was talking to other men, seeing other men, and flirting with other men. I have stopped all of that, got on my knees and asked God for forgiveness, and I found your ministry! My husband has filled divorce papers and they were attempted to be served to me yesterday, but I was not home to receive them. I pray I am never home to receive them. I don’t reach out to my husband, he’s called me an adulteress, even though he is in adultery himself as well. My heart has broken, but I feel encouraged and uplifted by the Lord. Thank you for your ministry, amen!

I want you to know that you are not alone. I have been separated from my husband for 4 years now. And I know it feels like nothing is happening, but always remember God works behind the scenes. Recently I’ve made peace with where I am, and I know that I’m not ready yet, He is still working. He is changing me first before anything else will happen.

Dear precious Ally, I want to encourage you to really trust our Darling Lord because what He allows is for a bigger purpose. I know how you are feeling because I remember when I faced divorce and how painful it was for me and today I wish I had handled it different and just enjoyed all the time with my Darling Lord. I received a restored marriage after divorce, so there is hope even when a divorce goes through but I want you to remember only our Darling Lord can really fulfil us and it’s all about Him (and I am saying this because all I ever wanted was a restored marriage and not enjoying my time with the Lord despite the situation I was in and today I can testify the Lord is really the only One that could fulfil me and give me joy and peace that surpasses all understanding) and today I want that for every women.

I know exactly how you feel. When I realized that I no longer wanted the divorce, I did my best to save my marriage. Nothing has saved my marriage or changed my former husband. And I am very happy about that. I found RMI six months before the divorce went through. With the answers I needed. I am so happy to welcome you here. Because besides the fact that God is the only One who can save your marriage and would love to do that for you, you will find so much more after reading these two chapters and the many other lessons.
The chapter “He Guides Me” is certainly a lesson that will give you so much peace and tranquility. When you start the day asking Him for His guidance in everything, your days will be so much calmer and better. That’s my experience. Know dear Ally that He wants nothing more than to save your marriage, but a marriage crisis has a greater purpose with blessings that He does not want to withhold from you.

Dear Ally I understand how you feel, I also asked the Lord this week what do I do wrong my situations feel like it don’t change. I’m thankful for how He provide for us. And yes I wash emotionally. Then the Lord lead me to look up and see my answers fruit on the prayer flower,and He reminded me of everything He have done,it didn’t matter how big or small it is. He tell me be still with Him and enjoy the time with Him, and to worship Him. He is working behind the scenes.

This is such a powerful Living Lesson, after reading a comment here, I had to reread this Living Lesson and it is still one of my favorite LL! And yes if we only realize how close He is, it will be life changing for us. How many of us grow up thinking He is high up in Heaven so the only way we can talk to Him is when we go on our knees, which is such a very big misunderstanding, because we can talk any time, the whole time, to Him! If He doesn’t lead me I don’t want to do it!
